Water baptism was commanded by Jesus and throughout the New Testament as an outward expression of an inward decision to make Jesus Christ Lord. We baptize people by immersion (complete submersion in water) because this is how it was done in the Bible. We do not baptize infants or young children because only those who were able to make a decision to follow the ways of Christ and repent for their sins were baptized in the scriptures.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, and you’re ready to make a public declaration of this decision, we encourage you to participate by getting baptized in water during our next Water Baptism service. There will be a brief class right before the baptism where we’ll go over what it means to be baptized and our beliefs behind it.
