It's catching the heart of compassion behind our mission of reaching the world, both across the street and around the globe.

First, we pray for our world and the ministries we support. Jesus said, “Pray to the Lord of the Harvest for laborers to work in the fields” (Matthew 9:38). As we have a conversation with God about our world, we come to share His concern and love for people, and our prayers in turn make a real difference in the world. Prayer is our first missions value.

Our second commitment is to support on a regular basis the people with whom God is calling us to partner. When we give our hard-earned income, we equip vital ministries to continue their transforming work. Yet, sacrificial giving extends beyond our finances. We also invest our time and abilities in promoting Emmanuel’s vision and getting others involved, so that together we’re empowered to extend our influence locally and around the world.

Nothing will leave its imprint on you like leaving home and traveling to serve the needs of others. We see how much God values those who leave the comfort of home to serve the needs of others when the Bible declares, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Isaiah 52:7; Romans 10:15) Emmanuel provides regular opportunities for our home-church family to meet our family in neighboring counties, in disaster-stricken areas of crisis, and outside the borders of our own country and culture, fully engaging ourselves in God's activities in our world.
