First Fruits of Equal Concern
Nathaniel was injured as a newborn due to a preventable medical injury. Despite his severe challenges, Nathaniel had an engaging spirit that caused others to want to be around him. He taught his family and friends that people with disabilities, no matter how significant, have humanity and a soul that needs to be fed. Soon, we could not contain this indelible spirit; Nathaniel expected to be a part of everything this life had to offer. He had gifts to share and brought a spirit of patient love to everything he did. Nathaniel taught those who loved him how to live life with love and passion. It is because of his love and passion that Equal Concern was born. May God continue to bless Equal Concern and you, Nathaniel – 5/14/97–5/11/09.
