What’s behind the name? 

At Emmanuel Christian Center (ECC) our driving purpose is to win men for Christ and encourage them to become disciples of Christ.  For a number of years, Men’s Ministry has been searching for an identity.  We want to be known as men of faith, men of integrity, men of action and men who reach out to others.  Men’s leadership desires to minister to all men of ECC.

In Scripture, King David’s men were known as mighty warriors. Today God is raising up another army of warriors: spiritual warriors.  Men are unique.  They come in different shapes, sizes, personalities and interests. There are men who enjoy the fine arts, culture, the sounds of the symphony as well as men who enjoy the outdoors, sports and the sound of a firearm. 

Christian men need to be spiritual warriors for their families, friends, co-workers, neighborhoods and communities.  Our church and surrounding community need a modern day army of mighty men.  As a man at ECC, you have a place and a voice here.  We want to hear from you, serve you and invite you to join us in advancing the Kingdom of God.
